Final Compensation Order

After being hurt at work an injured employee did not get along with the medical providers selected by his employer's insurance company. He felt the doctors were not offering him the appropriate opinions, care and treatment. The insurance company claimed he was rude and disrespectful to the doctors. Ultimately, the physicians discharged the injured employee from their care.

The injured employee's attorney obtained an expert who felt continuing medical attention was appropriate. The Judge agreed with the injured employee's expert and ordered the workers' compensation insurance company to provide continuing care. The Judge rejected the employer's 'bad behavior' defense.
