Prosecutors expect to recommend “extraordinary” leniency for Frank DiPascali Jr., who has admitted being Bernard L. Madoff’s crucial lieutenant in history’s largest Ponzi scheme.

DiPascali has already "provided substantial assistance to the government in its investigation and prosecution of others” and “it is likely his cooperation will result in an extraordinary letter”.

The rest of the 10-page letter apparently describes the specific help provided by Mr. DiPascali but the details are heavily redacted letter.
