Wage and Hour Law in a Blackberry World


By some estimates over 70% of employers are out of compliance with wage and hour laws. As strapped states and the federal government step up enforcement, employers need to be aware of pitfalls.

New York Labor Law 195(1) now requires employers to put certain information in writing at the time of hire.

Blackberries, cell phones, and other technology is leading to increased wage and hour class actions.
