SUMMARY: A form for mechanic's lien to be filed by a Virginia General Contractor. I still highly recommend that contractors find experienced legal counsel because this form and its requirements are often changed by the courts and the legislature in Virginia. Also, the requirements for filing, aside from the form of the memorandum are very specific and missing any one of them can cause the lien to be invalidated.
