Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue signed HB 369, the Shared Parenting bill, into law on May 29, 2007. The provisions of the bill will go into effect and will apply to any action to establish or modify provisions for custody, visitation or parenting time filed on or after January 1, 2008. This articles describes and analyzes the changes to the law regarding child custody and visitation/parenting time.
