Only One Death over Labor Day in Oregon

Oregon saw the fewest deaths over Labor Day weekend in nearly 40 years. And that one death might have been preventable had the person been wearing a seatbelt. Labor Day is traditionally the second-deadliest holiday after Independence Day. The drop in numbers has been attributed to law enforcement's crackdown on drunk driving.
