The term "patent troll" is used to pejoratively describe those patent owners that do not sell a product covered by their patent but which nonetheless assert their patent rights against others. This article discusses that, when the term is taken to its logical extension, most patent owners can be termed "patent trolls." This article discusses why, in actuality, most patent owners would be happy to be successful patent trolls.
