Clearing the final hurdle-arbitration in Australia

In 2010 Australia passed world leading federal and state legislation implementing best practice arbitration laws. An international disputes centre was opened with much fanfare. Early indications are that the courts have followed this trend with some bullish decisions. This presenaion traces those developments and examines the final hurdle-a Mongolian award against an Australian party that was not a party to the arbitration agreement.
