Under Colorado law, depending on the circumstances RTD may be required to arbitrate a new collective bargaining agreement with its union. This happened in 2009, and the parties presented economic testimony in support of their positions on wages. The union wanted a "business as usual" wage increase while RTD argued that the perilous economic condition reasonably required only very modest wage increases. This transcript focuses on expert economic testimony from both sides, and includes direct and cross-examination by RTD demonstrating that the union's economist made many mistakes including hundreds of millions of dollars of errors in her economic analysis.
