DOJ Obtains Historic Fair Lending Settlement to Resolve Countrywide Discriminatory Lending Claims.

On December 21, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced an agreement with Bank of America for the largest fair-lending settlement in history-$335 million-to resolve allegations that Countrywide Financial Corporation, acquired by Bank of America in 2008, engaged in a pattern of discriminatory lending practices.
