Our part of the country knows about high wind – after all, Chicago is famous as being the “Windy City.”

What lots of drivers on the road might not realize is how much truck drivers are wary of wind speeds, especially if they’re hauling an empty freight carrier. Just one more reason that truckers need to have lots of training before they hit the public roadways. Why, you may ask? Because a high wind can pick up that big rig and throw it right onto the ground on the roadway.
