Providing for children with addictions while also taking care of them can be a complicated part of estate planning. Parents often fear children with substance abuse issues may not spend an inheritance wisely or the money may actually prevent them from getting help, keeping a job or being responsible. At the same time though, most parents struggle with leaving a child out of a will because of addictions. There is always hope the child will rehabilitate and be financially responsible to receive an inheritance.
