Rodriguez v Bar Bri

Appellants' Brief

A class action settlement was approved on behalf of a class of all lawyers who took a bar review course between 1996 and 2006. In approving the settlement, the district court judge found that the lead plaintiffs had a disabling conflict of interest with the rest of the class. On appeal, Appellants argued that this conflict of interest required rejection of the settlement on the grounds of plaitniffs' inadequacy.
