This decision held that, under Uniform Commercial Code 42a-3-303(a)(3) an antecedent debt is adequate consideration for the subequent execution of a note regarding the debt, and further that, pursuant to Millard v. Green, there is no requirement for consideration to support the execution of a Mortgage to secure an antecedent debt.
