Dewey & LeBoeuf continue to flounder in stormy seas. In this Internet era, we are all bolted to our deck chairs in calmer adjacent seas glued to this spectacle as it unfolds before us. The bolt to the exits by some important Dewey & LeCOeuf partners now seems to be a virtual stampede. The blogosphere is rampant with minute by chatter and loads of finger pointing, grumbling, anger, hostility and tales of imminent disaster.
But, even as the Dewey & LeBoeuf ship continues to be tossed about, the firm’s leadership has taken some pretty awful missteps which does nothing to assure that the firm will find a safe moor. Instead, the leadership seems to be bent on rolling in to more icebergs.
Let’s continue to watch this closely and learn some important lessons.
