Has the means test come to this? Justice Kagan delivers an opinion that suggests it is easier to qualify for Chapter 7 if you finance a car than if you own one outright. Can a lawyer suggest a client borrow against that car under the new "gag rules" against bankruptcy lawyers? The answer appears to be,"yes."
