My mission is to seek justice for our clients. The families that I have the honor of representing have been through tragic circumstances. What they have lost cannot truly be recovered. What I can help them do is get answers and hold people and institutions accountable for what they have done or failed to do that caused the harm. Often families do not have the resources obtain the care and treatment that their loved one needs without a recovery. These cases are critical to the families we represent and are equally important for the safety of our whole community. We must work together to prevent these tragic occurrences from ever happening to anyone else again. I cannot think of a more worthwhile profession.
I am in a unique position when I evaluate and litigate these cases because of my background. I was formerly the Director of Risk Management for a major teaching hospital in D.C. As a result, I know hospitals, how they work and what can go wrong. I regularly lecture to doctors, nurses and to lawyers about these issues.
Our firm has the resources and the experience to litigate these cases. We go up against the big insurance companies and the major defense firms all the time. At the present, the strategy of many of the defendants is to drag it out and try to drown the victim's attorney in motions, delay the trial date and designate multiple experts to drive the costs up. We fight back and never blink.
