Leora Maccabee – Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand

Practice/Organization Description

Born and bred in Saint Paul, Minnesota, I just moved back to the Twin Cities this summer after eight years on the East Coast. I am a Northeastern University School of Law and Amherst College graduate. On October 7th I will (hopefully) also be able to call myself a member of the Minnesota Bar.

During law school I began training lawyers, law students and legal professionals on how to use social media sites like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for professional networking, personal branding and job searching. I also worked pro bono with several non-profit organizations and political campaigns to help them develop a social media presence.

You can read my articles on social media for lawyers and law students on the legal technology blog Lawyerist (www.lawyerist.com). I also write about Jewish politics, culture, and Twin Cities culture on the blog I founded in August 2009 called TC Jewfolk (www.tcjewfolk.com).

I work for Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP as a Document Review Specialist in their Litigation section, and will begin work as a Litigation Associate in November 2009.
