Practice/Organization Description

A prime focus of Matthew's practice is in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology fields. He handles all matters relating to trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, patents, unfair competition, franchise issues, computer law, the Internet and e-commerce. He also provides services in the areas of corporate law, commercial transactions, employment/noncompete agreements, entity formation, and buying and selling a business.

Matthew is a frequent lecturer on Intellectual Property and Information Technology issues around the state and has written numerous articles which have been published in The Iowa Lawyer, as well as authoring a section on Intellectual Property protection for the West published Iowa Practice Series on Business Organizations. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association Section Council on Ecommerce and Intellectual Property.
