The Puerto Rico based practice of Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC includes management labor and employment law counseling and litigation, collective bargaining, employee benefits, real estate and corporate law, civil, personal injury and commercial litigation, and government relations matters. Our firm acts as Puerto Rico counsel representing a diverse client base ranging from local, national, and international companies, to medium and smaller businesses, commercial clients and individuals.
We have an active federal and local litigation practice, with seasoned litigators in the Federal and Commonwealth courts systems and before administrative agencies, such as the Puerto Rico Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO), the Puerto Rico Treasury Department, the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO), the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Corporación del Fondo del Seguro del Estado (workers’ compensation), and the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources. The firm's diverse practice includes both plaintiff and defense work, which enables us to effectively represent a broad spectrum of clients.
The firm was founded in 2006 by José A. B. Nolla-Mayoral, Luis E. Palou-Balsa and Juan M. Casellas-Rodríguez, all formerly partners at the law firm of McConnell Valdés. We offer the strength and depth of a large firm, without sacrificing the responsiveness and personal service of a smaller firm.
