Practice/Organization Description

Real Estate Counsel

Founded in 2002, Reed Law Corporation, PC (the “Firm” or “Reed Law”) is a real estate law firm based in Orange County, California. Its attorneys advise clients on a broad range of real estate matters. These matters cover the life-cycle of real estate investments and projects, including the areas of real estate transactions, projects, ownership and operations, disputes, and strategy.

The Firm’s clients span the real estate sector and include individuals, partnerships, and emerging and established companies.

Reed Law’s attorneys practiced law at some of the largest and most well respected law firms in the United States. The Firm’s clients benefit from our attorneys’ “big firm” real estate practice expertise and experience, with the added value of personalized attention and reduced cost of a “small firm”.

In 2002, Ms. Reed founded Reed Law Corporation, PC. She has counseled real estate, corporate and national telecommunication clients through her law practice. Ms. Reed has broad and deep experience in real estate law, including transactional, project, ownership and dispute matters. Specifically, her legal expertise includes real estate acquisition, disposition, development, title and survey review and issue resolution, land use entitlement, leasing, finance, and joint-ventures. Her experience is across all major property types, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, residential and raw land.

Before founding her law firm, Ms. Reed was an attorney with Latham & Watkins LLP in the finance and real estate department in Orange County and with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in the real estate practice group in both Philadelphia and Los Angeles. At both firms she advised national and regional clients on diverse real estate matters.

Ms. Reed began her legal career at a litigation firm in Los Angeles. She worked on complex litigation matters in the practice areas of telecommunications fraud, toxic torts, strict products liability, entertainment law, and insurance bad faith. In addition, she participated in extensive insurance coverage work within the construction defect area.

Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Reed was a judicial extern to The Honorable Peter W. Bowie, United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of California. She drafted bench memoranda, summarized motions and researched various bankruptcy matters taken under submission.

Before embarking on her legal career, Ms. Reed worked as a resident counselor at a Los Angeles orphanage where she administered therapeutic care to abused children. Most of the children were placed in the facility by court order due to physical, sexual and emotional abuse or severe neglect.

Ms. Reed is a member of the state bars of both California and Pennsylvania. She is also licensed as a broker by the California Department of Real Estate. Ms. Reed graduated with a B.A. in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach and a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.
