David Warner, George Norcross and Siegel Judd created the law firm with a handshake in 1931, understanding that client service would be their No. 1 priority. Honors and Awards
Our commitment to providing unsurpassed counsel and service to our clients is at the core of everything we do, earning top ratings for us year after year. Here are some of our most recent awards:
- Eleven attorneys in our Southfield and Sterling Heights offices were named Top Lawyers by dBusiness in 2011. The peer-review survey “honors excellence in all areas of practice.”
- Sixty-nine of our attorneys made the Best Lawyers in America list for 2012.
- Sixty-one Warner attorneys were named 2011 Michigan Super Lawyers. Additionally, two in the group (Sue O. Conway and Mary Jo Larson) were featured among the Top 50 women Super Lawyers and one (Douglas E. Dozeman) was ranked as an overall Top 100 Super Lawyer.
- Super Lawyers also recognized 15 of our attorneys as 2011 Rising Stars. The award is given to high achievers who are under the age of 40 or have been in practice fewer than 10 years.
- For several years running, we’ve been named one of the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, both in West Michigan and Metro Detroit. Crain’s Detroit Business and the Detroit Free Press also put us on their versions of the lists in 2011.
- Chambers USA recognized Warner as a leading law firm in 2011, for the ninth year in a row. Chambers recognized 11 attorneys working in five practice areas: banking and finance, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, employee benefits and executive compensation and commercial litigation.
- Our exemplary work practices earned us the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility in 2010 and 2011.
- In a 2010 survey completed by Corporate Counsel magazine, in-house counsel from Fortune 500 companies selected us as a “Go-To Law Firm” in litigation and in labor and employment law.
- We made the BTI Consulting Group’s Client Service A-Team in 2011, for the fourth time. The survey evaluates law firm performance through the eyes of the client. BTI also says we’re one of only two tech-savvy” law firms in Michigan.
- Our diversity initiatives earned us the Racial Justice Unity Award in 2010.
- Benchmark Litigation placed five our of attorneys on its Top Litigators list in 2010.
- Together with Best Lawyers, U.S. News & World Report put Warner among the nation’s Best Law Firms in its inaugural edition of the awards in 2010.
