Tanya Lee

Practice/Organization Description

The Law Office of Tanya M. Lee, PLLC is a boutique law firm specializing in Immigration and Nationality Law. We provide reliable, efficient, and affordable legal representation for individuals and businesses located in all 50 states and abroad as authorized under federal law. Attorneys with the firm are able to assist clients in English, Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole.

We understand that the process to obtain a visa, green card, or citizenship can be complex and confusing. So we translate the legal-eze for you, explain your options in easy-to-understand terms, and walk you through the process step-by-step.

Prior to opening her boutique immigration firm, Ms. Lee was a business immigration attorney with Littler Mendelson, P.C. and with Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP. A graduate of Princeton, Cornell, and Howard Universities, her interest in immigration was sparked through international study at a Japanese University in Tokyo; an international ex-pat assignment in Paris, France; and marriage to an immigrant. Prior to specializing in immigration, she served for five years as Corporate Counsel with The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G), with responsibilities in labor and employment law, trademarks and copyrights, intellectual property licensing, and advertising law. Previously, she was a law clerk to the Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones (now retired) of the U.S. Court of Appeals, 6th Circuit. During Fall 2008, she taught Business Associations as an adjunct professor with Phoenix School of Law.

In her private practice, Ms. Lee focuses on foreign nationals who want to secure a visa to invest in a U.S. business and live here with their families, people who want to sponsor their family members for Legal Permanent Residence (green card); and those that seek U.S. citizenship through naturalization or are U.S. citizens through birth abroad to a U.S. parent(s) or following the naturalization of a parent or adoption by a U.S. parent. Ms. Lee particularly enjoys helping U.S. citizen/foreign national couples who are either engaged or already married navigate through the often complex process of securing the green card for the foreign national fiancé or spouse. She successfully overcame the red tape, confusing instructions, and anxiety when applying for a fiancé visa for her (now) spouse and through the subsequent steps of adjustment of status, removing the conditions on residence, and citizenship. She is now happy to share her personal and professional experience when advising clients about their options and strategy for successful immigration filings.
