Practice/Organization Description
Alexander “Sasha" Leonhardt is an associate attorney in the Washington, DC office of BuckleySandler LLP, where he represents financial services industry clients in a wide range of enforcement and litigation matters. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Leonhardt was Deputy Director for Research and Policy and webmaster for the Martin O’Malley gubernatorial campaign and transition team, and later Deputy Press Secretary to Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley.
At the Duke University School of Law, from which he graduated cum laude, he was Senior Executive Editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law, a member of the Duke Law and Technology Review and a teaching assistant for appellate practice. Mr. Leonhardt has also worked with a variety of legal assistance organizations including San Francisco Bay Area Legal Aid and the ACLU Death Penalty Project. He is bilingual, English-Spanish.
