Andrew J. Kennedy is an attorney with the Colkitt Law Firm, P.C. Andrew is a civil litigator with a focus on representing businesses in disputes with insurance carriers, banks, other businesses, and the government. Those cases involve breach of contract, business torts, employment disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith. He counsels companies on business law, health care law, and employment law, and he drafts policies and contracts. He also represents catastrophically injured individuals in personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
Andrew has written for Litigation News, a publication of the ABA, the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation, and the Dickinson Journal of International Law, among other publications.
Andrew is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has also been admitted pro hac vice before various state and federal courts throughout the country.
Andrew graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1997. He also studied law in an ABA approved program at the University of Cambridge (England) in the summer of 1995. Before entering law school, Andrew obtained two degrees in political science. He received an M.A. from the University at Buffalo in 1996 and a B.A., cum laude, from Canisius College in 1992.

Andrew has served in leadership positions with the county, state, and American bar associations. He is currently on the editorial board of the Litigation News, a publication of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation.
