Practice/Organization Description
In November 2008, Wolfe Law Group filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the constitutionality of Louisiana's new rules governing lawyer advertising.
The lawsuit argues that the rules unnecessarily restrict an attorney's right to speak freely about their trade. Specifically, the plaintiffs argue that "blogging" and other contributions to online forums and communities is speech that should be afforded a higher degree of constitutional protection than "commercial speech."
The mission is simple: to protect an organization's right to speak freely about its trade through blogging, twitter, facebook, online forums, and other online communities and mediums.
In support of the mission, the plaintiffs in the suit are instrumental in founding a non-profit corporation in Louisiana, Blog No Evil, Inc. The non-profit will be dedicated to the advancement of free speech by organizations through online mediums.
