My law practice focuses on defending corporate clients against claims regarding products, including lead-based paint, consumer products, industrial machinery and agricultural chemicals. My clients appreciate my expertise in complex case management and use of technology.
I have been in practice since 1992, and have been an attorney at Nilan Johnson Lewis since the firm was founded in 1996. Nilan Johnson Lewis has built its reputation by putting clients first and building a practice centered on excellence and defining the next generation of law firm. The firm focuses on five areas of practice: labor and employment, business law, product liability/mass tort litigation, commercial litigation, and health law/consulting.
I am admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Minnesota and state courts in Wisconsin and North Dakota. I have also practiced in numerous other states, including New York, Ohio, California, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Missouri and Florida. I chair the firm's Technology and Charitable Contributions Committees.
I currently serve as President of the over 8,000-member Hennepin County Bar Association. I served as President of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation from 2007 to 2008, and remain an active member of its Board of Directors. I have chaired the HCBF Annual Bar Benefit since 2006.
I also serve as President of the Minnesota Urban Debate League Advisory Board. The MNUDL funds debate programs in urban middle schools and high schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul. In the past, I served as a member of the Boards of the Minnesota Chorale and the Wells Foundation.
My husband Kevin and I live in Minnetonka with Kevin's son Sean (age 17), and our daughters Rachel (age 7) and Sarah (age 4).
