David Lorenzo – Rainmaker Lawyer Consulting

Practice/Organization Description

Dave Lorenzo is the President of Rainmaker Lawyer Consulting - a Strategic Advisory Firm that helps attorneys make a great living and live a great life.

He has more than 20 years of business experience as a successful law firm business strategist, corporate executive, entrepreneur, author, and speaker. He has worked with and mentored some of the world’s most successful businesspeople while helping lead many companies—both large and small—to unprecedented success.

Dave’s experience in starting new businesses and repositioning underperforming firms, along with his ability to implement innovative marketing and management solutions, makes him one of today’s most sought-after, trusted advisors.

He is the Founder and Chairman of an advisory group that works directly with attorneys and independent professionals on Business Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and Work-Life Balance. In this role, his team helps solo practitioners, small groups of attorneys, and large firms to unlock their hidden potential and leverage their existing talent to grow their client base and take more money to the bottom line.

Dave learned to build large professional service businesses as a Managing Partner with the Gallup Organization. In that role for the better part of a decade, his team pioneered the Leadership Development and Organizational Effectiveness initiatives that resulted in revenue in excess of $130 million. Dave also served as a trusted advisor to the leaders of many multinational companies. His clients included: Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Marriott International, ADP, MetLife, Ann Taylor Stores, Dunkin’ Donuts, and several others.

Prior to joining Gallup, Dave was Vice President and General Manager of Marriott’s corporate housing brand, ExecuStay by Marriott, in New York, New Jersey, and southern Connecticut. Under his direction, the division’s annual revenue grew from start-up to more than $50 million in less than three years.

As a respected author and columnist, Dave Lorenzo’s work has been published in various business magazines, newspapers, and trade journals. His work has been featured by such respected publications and associations as The Boston Herald, Real Estate Weekly, Investors Business Daily, Human Resources Executive Magazine, and the American Management Association. Lorenzo also writes for RainmakerLawyer.com, where his advice and guidance is read by more than 20,000 members, and MaxBizAdvantage.com, where he is featured as “The Business Guru.” His first book, Career Intensity: Business Strategy for Workplace Warriors and Entrepreneurs, sold out in bookstores in less than 90 days and continues to sell well on Amazon.com.

Dave is a participant in the Wharton Fellows Program at the University of Pennsylvania, a management think tank that meets regularly to analyze and address timely business issues. He received his MBA from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, and he received a Masters of Science in Strategic Communications from Columbia University in New York City.
