Practice/Organization Description

My practice primarily involves litigation but I consider a case successful if it can be resolved with as little litigation as possible. I do personal injury, divorce and probate litigation such as disputes over lost wills, trust language and the like. My offce has eleven attorneys and we encourage a collegial and supportive environment. I enjoy the professional relationmships with my clients and I treat clients like I would want to be treated. Litigation is not only costly but also brings with it great apprehension and anxiety. My clients are usually grateful when I spend some time trying to alleviate their anxiety and to help them feel somewhat in control of the outcome. I am an award-winning underwater photographer and scuba diving instructor. I represent diving grooups in Massachusetts and have been successful in fighting ordinances and by-laws of coastal towns that attempt to restrict scuba diving or access for scuba diving. I wrote a book about the law and the commercial aspects of diving called the Law and the Diving Professional, published by Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). I enjoy tennis, golf and horeseback riding for recreation.
