Dressman Benzinger LaVelle psc (DBL Law) is a full-service law firm of 39 attorneys and 51 staff, with offices located in Cincinnati, Ohio and Crestview Hills, Kentucky. DBL attorneys represent private individuals and companies in many industries and areas of law including: Administrative, Banking & Commercial, Business Organizations and Taxation, Civil Litigation, Construction, Employment and Labor, Estate Planning and Probate, Healthcare, Real Estate, Technology and Workers' Compensation.
Emily Kirtley Hanna is a partner in the firm's Litigation Group with an emphasis in Commercial, Banking and Collections. She is based in the firm's Crestview Hills office.
Prior to joining Dressman Benzinger LaVelle, Emily was an associate attorney with Coley & Associates, Co. L.P.A. in Cincinnati.
Emily obtained her law degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2003, and has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Northern Kentucky University. While attending law school, Emily was a member of the Salmon P. Chase Moot Court Board and the National Trial Advocacy Team, as well as the author of the 2003 Salmon P. Chase Moot Court Competition Problem.
Since 2005, Emily has served as a Board of Director for the Welcome House of Northern Kentucky which provides services for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. During the 2010/2011 year, Emily served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Welcome House. In addition, Emily previously served as an adjunct faculty member of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law where she taught law students trial advocacy skills.
Emily is also involved in various fundraising efforts on behalf of the Cathleen W. Kirtley Memorial Fund, a charitable organization set up in honor of her late mother. To date, the memorial fund has donated over $60,000 to the St. Elizabeth Medical Center to benefit women who have or who are at high hereditary risk of developing breast or ovarian cancers.
