Practice/Organization Description

Established my private law practice in 1984. Practice is limited to residents of the California counties of Marin, Mendocino, and Sonoma. As noted below, the emphasis of my firm is administrative law (applications for and defense of professional licenses); education law (representing students, faculty and staff through the University level); employment & labor law( all aspects, with the exception of workers' compensation, but including :job accommodations, discrimination complaints, grievances and discipline, and public employee disability retirement); and Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR").

In addition to my experience as an attorney, I have more than 15 years of experience in University administration. Service includes that of a resident advisor, ombudsman, counselor, associate dean of students, and assistant to the president-judicial affairs officer. I have provided service to my local community as a volunteer firefighter, emergency medical technician, and fire district director.I enjoy reading, cinema, and open water rowing.
