Practice/Organization Description
My philosophy as a family law attorney of 35 years is to help the clients through the difficult times without stoking the emotional fire or adding to their already strapped finances. My goal has become resolution, not litigation (although I still try the occasional case that represents a failure in the process, that is, a case that didn't settle). Settlement represents the parties having come to an agreement; trial represents yet another failure in their lives, a waste of their valuable resources, and turning decision-making over to a stranger, the judge, who then decides their future lives and those of their children. Shouldn't the parties be the ones to do that? That's my philosophy.
