I have been practicing law for almost sixteen years and have come to enjoy this profession more with every case. Initially I interned with the Wake County District Attorney's office under the third year licensing program, which allowed me the opportunity to gain valuable early trial experience. I prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor cases before most attorneys set foot in a courtroom.
From that point forward, I have been practicing family law and civil litigation (largely injury cases and insurance cases). I believe these two areas of practice lend themselves to keeping me at my best doing what i enjoy most, which is helping people achieve their goals through difficult times.
My professional goals are simple. I work very hard to became a better attorney every day. Despite having handled hundreds, if not a thousand cases at this point in my career, I find that as the law and our society changes, a good lawyer must always be willing to learn and adapt. Experience is a wonderful thing, but it can also be dangerous. Never rest on your laurels.
