Who I Am:
I am a Patent, Trademark, Copyright, Trade Secret and Patent Contingency Litigation Attorney located in Pasadena, CA and have been litigating intellectual property issues and prosecuting patent and trademark applications since 1975. I’m also the founding partner of Sheldon Mak Rose & Anderson, a leading West Coast Intellectual Property law firm with main offices in Pasadena, California.
I have been recognized by California Lawyer as one of the 20 best intellectual property lawyers in the state. I am also recognized for my leadership in creating one of the most dynamic, purely intellectual property law firms in the country, Sheldon Mak Anderson. I also teach advanced patent law at Loyola Law School, serve as an expert witness, and am the author of the PLI's "How to Write a Patent Application" and 2000, 01, 02 Editions of the “Federal Circuit Yearbook.”
My technical background is in the biomedical and chemical engineering arts. I was previously employed as a chemical engineer by Exxon and Shell. Prior to that, I was a scientific coordinator at Lee Pharmaceutical and a medical device development engineer at American Hospital Supply Corporation.
