Practice/Organization Description
I attended Ohio University for my undergraduate studies, where I graduated cum laude with a degree in political science and Public Administration. While attending Ohio University, I was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and participated in Appalachian outreach organizations. I received my Juris Doctorate degree in 2005 from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. While attending law school, I was actively involved in the Community Advocacy Clinic. I grew up in Sandusky, Ohio and attended St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School. I currently live in Fairview Park, Ohio with my husband, Matthew.
I decided to open my own law practice due to the fact that my skills have developed to a superior level, unnecessary for oversight or supervision. My office will be one room of my large brick colonial home in Fairview Park. I have a small client base and decided to move from a firm to my own practice due to the fact that I want to provide personal service to my clients and ultimately run my own law practice. I have been encouraged by numerous individuals to take this route for several years now, and the time has come. I am excited to partake in this new endeavor and vigouously fight for my clients.
Practicing law for individual clients and businesses in a wide range of areas. Personal contact and attention is very important as I do not allow a secretary or paralegal to practice law or contact clients in my stead.
Many of my former clients have become longtime friends, given the fact that I invest all of my time, resources and attention into their cases.
Additionally, I obtain a succcessful result for nearly every client that I represent.
To date, I have written four motions that were granted by the court, resulting in a judgment in favor of my client. This is very rare in my industry as offensive motions (for summary judgment) are rarely granted.
I have written approximately four Appellate Briefs in the last year, with 3 being decided in my favor by the Eighth District Court of Appeals in Ohio.
My writing and oral advocacy skills are superior and have proven to clients and other attorneys in the legal field a track record of success.
On numerous occasions, I engaged in research and drafted legal briefs for other attorneys in the field as a result of my skill in this area of the law.
