I am a full time business litigator and business lawyer, and a part time mediator and frustrated golfer. I have handled just about every type of civil litigation matter, but currently concentrate on trade secret (including misappropriation of electronically stored information), insurance coverage, corporate, shareholder, and commercial contract disputes. I also negotiate and draft equipment supply contracts, non-disclosure agreements, terms and conditions and other business documents. I work with a number of international companies or their U.S. subsidiaries. I have given seminars on various legal issues domestically and internationally, including on trade secrets and non-disclosure agreements, product liability and risk mitigation, and various sales issues. I have also recorded podcasts on a number of current legal topics.
I started practicing in 1982 at Hansell & Post (now the Atlanta office of Jones, Day), and moved in 1986 to Long, Aldridge & Norman, which later became McKenna Long & Aldridge. After twenty-five years at big firms, I decided to try something different and ended up at Chorey, Taylor & Feil in 2007. CTF is a smaller (20 lawyer) firm of mainly ex-big firm lawyers. We try to provide big firm quality, but in a more personal and accessible manner. Our shareholders actively work on almost all matters. We have good associates, but we do not follow a leverage model. CTF's size and approach also allows a great deal of flexibility in how matters are handled.
