Josh recently joined Pickrel, Schaeffer and Ebeling in Dayton, Ohio as an associate member of the Litigation team. Josh’s practice focuses on various facets of commercial litigation. As a law clerk with the firm from 2009 – 2010, he has been involved with litigating state, federal, and international disputes. He has experience in a range of commercial litigation matters including: breach of contract, products liability defense, automotive and transportation industries; insurance coverage and bad faith matters, civil rights §1983 cases, wrongful death, and Chapter 11 business reorganizations. He has also assisted with appellate litigation before state and federal appellate courts.
A 2010 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law ("UDSL"), Josh served as a Comment Editor for UDSL's Law Review. He became a Teaching Assistant for introductory legal writing courses after earning the highest grade in two of his persuasive legal writing classes. He also received the highest grade in an intensive Business Reorganization Capstone course, which led to his interest in expanding PS&E’s bankruptcy department.
While in law school, Josh also obtained a great deal of legal experience as an extern for Judge Mary E. Donovan at the Second District Court of Appeals.
