Matthew Kading – Alchemy Law Group PLLC

Practice/Organization Description

Matthew began his career as a commercial and intellectual property litigator in 1998 for the national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois, where he gained lead-counsel trial experience and mentoring from prominent litigators. At Quarles Matthew was fortunate and determined to make a name for himself, garnering trial experience during his first year as an associate. Having proven his capacity and passion for litigation, Matt was involved in a number of high profile cases involving medical device manufacturers, electric utilities, and other large scale corporate and IP related litigation with the majority of clients Matt helped represent being in the Fortune 500 or Forbes 100.

He later joined the Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota based national firm of Briggs & Morgan P.A. — where he was a key component of the firm’s prestigious and nationally recognized Telecommunications Law Group and continued his intellectual property and commercial/business litigation practice as a member of the firms business litigation group. At Briggs, Matthew gained extensive courtroom experience in state and federal courts around the country. His zealous focus on vigirousaly representing clients to the fullest extent possible within the bounds of ethics and the law resulted in unparalleled success for Matthew’a clients, the large firms that recruited and nurtured his development as a “lawyer’s lawyer” and helped him become formidable opponent to even the most seasoned courteroom tacticians.

His drive to make certain his clients receive the finest legal counsel and obtain outcomes beyond their expectations fostered futher success as evidenced by the numerous accolades and awards from local and national legal publications and groups as “a leading litigator under 40-('Top 40 Under 40')", a “Young Lawyer[] to Watch”, named in “Who’s Who in American Law" three separate times and being named by a local magazine as a “Rising Star” in the Twin Cities legal community.

From there, Matthew joined Skolnick & Schiff P.A., a prestigious and respected a Minneapolis-based boutique business litigation firm as an equity partner and head of the firm’s intellectual property law practice. During his time, where he worked and partnered with one of the nation’s foremost commercial and business litigators and trial lawyers. In 2008, Matthew left the practice of law to pursue another dream–attending Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

In November of 2010, armed with the experience and expertise gained through practicing with some the best and brightest legal minds and the knowledge gained during his time in medical school, Matthew was picked to run the Medical Law Group and serve as Chief Legal Officer of Axon JuriMed Group, LLC, a nationally recognized medical/pharmaceutical and medical device law trial consulting firm based out of San Francisco, California and Chicago, Illinois. Axon JuriMed was acquired by a private investment group in late-2012, giving Matthew the opportunity to return to his true calling as an exceptional litigator and trial lawyer. He has vigorously and successfully represented clients in all phases of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and state and federal jury trials.

Matt’s case preparation starts with the client’s objectives and involves developing and implementing a solid strategy to defend or enforce the client’s commercial, business, corporate. or intellectual property rights or defending client’s against claims and suits brought against his clients that would significantly trample their interests. Many times, meeting the client’s needs may be met through settlement or alternative dispute resolution. Matt, as a true litigator, is always prepared to try a case in court when necessary.
