Ms. Chavin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Connecticut School of Law (JD 1994). She is an active member of the bars in Munich, Germany (foreign lawyer), New York and Connecticut. She chaired the AILA Chicago Chapter’s Ethics and Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for three years, ending in 2012, and is now a member of the AILA Rome District Chapter's committee of the same name. The RDC is the AILA chapter mainly for European members. She previously practiced corporate, real estate and securities law in Moscow, Russia with Clifford Chance, and in San Antonio and New York City with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP. She is fluent in Russian.
