I am a solo practitioner and small firm owner; focusing on Family Court litigation. Moreover, I am a member of the Assigned Counsel Panel for the Second Department Appellate Division under (known as the “18B panel"; 18B refers to the New York County Law authorizing indigent defense). As a member, the Court assigns me on days where I agree to pick up cases for those without the luxury to pay private attorney rates. More importantly, this means that I am well-versed in representing clients embroiled in child support, child custody, delinquency, neglect, abuse, those seeking orders of protection, Domestic Violence support, visitation (parents and grandparents), and paternity disputes.
In addition, while I do not possess formal court experience in Civil Liberties, Employment, Unemployment insurance, criminal or matrimonial law I nonetheless have considerable knowledge of these practice areas; enough to competently offer advice and warn a client of possible implications.
Lastly, because my firm is in its infancy do not expect mahogany desks and a large support staff. However, you can expect zealous representation and experienced representation.
Other experience and qualifications:
I served as counsel for New York City Children’s Services for approximately two years. During that time, I was responsible for a high volume caseload, from inception to conclusion. While representing New York State I ran the gambit of hearings (pre and post dispositional), motion practice, trial procedure, and appealable issues.
Lastly, I have experience and a substantial working knowledge of Administrative law. In particular, claims brought against New York City and New York State under 19 NYCRR Part 400 concerning unemployment insurance.
