Practice/Organization Description

A short summary of my qualifications:

I served as counsel for New York City Children’s Services for approximately two years. During that time, I was responsible for a high volume caseload, from inception to conclusion. While representing New York State I ran the gambit of hearings (pre and post dispositional), motion practice, trial procedure, and appealable issues.

Currently, I am a solo practitioner and member of the Assigned Counsel Panel for the Second Department Appellate Division.

In addition to Article 10 proceedings, I represent clients in custody, child support, juvenile delinquency, termination of parental rights and visitation cases.

Lastly, I have experience and a substantial working knowledge of Administrative law. In particular, claims brought against New York City and New York State under 19 NYCRR Part 400 concerning unemployment insurance.

Interests:

Constitutional Law and Appellate practice: In particular, the balance between child protection and liberty interests afforded protection under the U.S. Constitution.
