Gardner, Gardner & Gardner was created October 1, 1987, upon the retirement of one of the partners in Martin, Gibson & Gardner, established 1959. The firm is descended from earlier firms dating back to the 19th century. The firm and its predecessors have always maintained a general trial practice with emphasis in personal injury and workers' compensation defense. The firm has an extensive real estate, estate planning, and probate practice. Firm partners also serve as counsel for a number of local and regional businesses and financial institutions, and represent various local governments and related entities.
