Practice/Organization Description
The Agresta Firm PC was formed on December 1, 2009 by Robert Agresta, Esq. as a boutique firm to handle unique corporate matters.
On November 4, 2008, Robert Agresta was elected to a three year term with the Borough Council in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, unseating a four term incumbent and becoming one of the youngest elected public officials in the State of New Jersey at 25 years old. In January 2010, Mr. Agresta was voted Council President & Chairman of the Finance Committee by the majority of the existing Council.
Mr. Agresta holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School which he received in 2009. In 2007, he was elected as the Student Bar Association Senator for New York Law School’s evening division. He is a an attorney-at-law of the State of New Jersey and is pending admission to the bars of the State of New York and the District of Columbia. He maintains business interests in a number of enterprises including one of the leading luxury automobile dealer groups in the United States – Benzel-Busch Motor Car Corp.
Mr. Agresta is a certified Firefighter in the State of New Jersey and has worked closely with numerous law enforcement agencies and non-profit organizations to help better the community. He is an honorary Special Deputy Sheriff for the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department and has been named an Honored Citizen by The Honor Legion of The Police Departments of the State of New Jersey.
In 2006 and 2007, he worked with Dr. Mehmet Oz and his organization, HealthCorps, spearheading a plan to match public authorities and private donors to install the HealthCorps program in the North Bergen, NJ school system. As of March 2008, HealthCorps is thriving in North Bergen and has expanded to numerous schools including dozens of New York City public schools.
In 2010 Mr. Agresta was named to the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Free Enterprise, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to teaching children about the benefits of entrepreneurial spirit in a free market.
Mr. Agresta has received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Business Administration at Fordham University and graduated a one-year program with the National Automobile Dealers Association developed to teach dealership management techniques.
In 2007 Mr. Agresta was awarded a citation for exemplary public service by the New York City Council and in 2008 he was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for his work with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
Mr. Agresta holds two published United States patent applications and is a licensed Pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration. He lives with his family in Englewood Cliffs.
