Practice/Organization Description
After 26 years in and about the courts, I understand what can be done to best serve your business and personal goals. I cut my teeth in Maryland's state and federal courts, trying cases involving maritime, railroad, construction, corporate dissolutions and wrongful death litigation. I've worked in very large law firms, and medium sized firms. Young & Valkenet is built to compete in any court, against any one, at any time. And you get the benefit of all that experience at half the cost the "big box" firms charge their clients!
I had a debate scholarship in college, and I also played varsity soccer. More importantly, I met my wife in college, and we've raised some great kids. I unwind (while thinking of YOUR case) by studying three martial arts systems and competing in jiu jitsu. I've coached high school soccer in Baltimore, and been involved with my own boys' baseball, soccer and lacrosse teams for more years than I wish to count (I confess to knowing very little about lax until arriving in Baltimore, but I am very much addicted, now).
My oldest son, Ian, graduated from Boston College and UB Law, and has joined the firm last year. I am excited for the first time we sit together, at the trial table! My middle son is protecting our liberty, serving in the armed forces. My youngest graduated from Emerson College and is writing for stage and film.
Give me a call, and let's talk about your case!
