Wally represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and sureties in construction litigation matters. Mr. Zimolong also assists developers in property acquisitions, leasing issues and creation of condominium and planned community documents. Wally enjoys working with the owners of the businesses he represents because they tend to be entrepreneurs and all around interesting people.
His professional career includes a highly active role in local, state and national politics. He is an advocate for many conservative causes. He is one of the few registered Republicans in the City of Philadelphia. This may explain how he was elected as the Republican Committeeman for the City’s 2nd Ward, 10th Division. He is also the Chairman of the Philadelphia Federation of Young Republicans. In 2008, Mr. Zimolong was the Republican candidate for State Representative in the Pennsylvania General Assembly for the 182nd District. He also served as surrogate speaker for U.S. Sen. John McCain’s 2008 Presidential Campaign. His clients, many of them Democrats, generally appear to tolerate his political opinions, which he is more than happy to share with them, whether solicited or not.
Wally spent four years at Villanova University as an undergraduate, where the men’s basketball team never advanced pasted the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Hoping to see the team reach the Sweet Sixteen while still a student, he decided to attend Villanova for three more years as a law student.
In his spare time, Mr. Zimolong enjoys supply side economics, trying not to embarrass himself on the golf course, trying not to shoot anyone while hunting, college football, surfing and spending time at his Philadelphia home with his black Labrador Retriever named Bubba and his Havenese named Rebel. They appear indifferent to his political opinions.
