As an attorney, I defend businesses and professionals against a variety of contract and tort claims brought in the state and federal courts of Georgia and Louisiana. My primary practice areas are professional negligence, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, premises liability and industrial accidents. I have also handled cases in the fields of products liability and contractual obligations.
I believe in providing value by establishing cost-effective defense litigation strategies. I'm a proponent of alternative dispute resolution procedures such as mediation and arbitration to lead to favorable outcomes for my clients. When specific cases have necessitated protracted litigation, I have successfully advocated for my clients at trial and in appellate courts.
Prior to entering the practice of law, I was a financial advisor for major international and regional financial services firms, advising Atlanta businesses and businesspersons on various transactions in commercial finance, debt structuring, management of interest rate risks and personal portfolio management.
Outside the office, I am a volunteer for Everybody Wins, a program which takes me to Hope-Hill Elementary School once per week, where a read to a student. I also sit on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations. When the work is done, I enjoy cycling, running and hiking with my girlfriend Julie and our dog Spot.
