As we recently reported, starting February 1, 2018, the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Banking and Securities will start receiving new applications and transition filings on NMLS for the Money Transmitter License. In addition, the Department will start accepting new applications and transition filings on NMLS for the Currency Exchange License. Current licensees must submit a transition filling on NMLS by April 1, 2018.
Again, the Department will start using the new Electronic Surety Bonds (ESB) through NMLS for the Money Transmitter License. More information on the ESB is available here.
