Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) Director Becky Keogh announced on May 13th that Jarrod Zweifel will serve as Associate Director of the Office of Land Resources.

Kevin White, the current Associate Director of Land Resources, is returning to his former position as Director of the agency’s Enterprise Services.

Mr. Zweifel is a Professional Geologist.

Mr. Zweifel has served as a Senior Manager of Assessment and Remediation in the Office of Land Resources for the past two years. He previously served in the agency’s tank programs for 11 years. This experience included working in rural Arkansas counties assisting underground storage tank owners and operators in achieving compliance. Further, he has also served as a geologist, which involved assisting owners and operators with petroleum remediation efforts.

Mr. Zweifel has served on the Association for State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials LUST Task Force. This is the group working with the United States Environmental Protection Agency in addressing the effect of 2015 regulations on petroleum remediation.
