Announcement may be made later today.
The New York Times reports this morning that President Biden has selected his nominee to fill the U.S. Supreme Court seat being vacated by Justice Stephen Breyer.
Earlier this week, the President interviewed his top three contenders: U.S. District Court Judge Michelle Childs of South Carolina, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and Justice Leondra Kruger of the California Supreme Court. I blogged about each of these three candidates shortly after Justice Breyer announced his resignation in January.
I will update this post when the nominee is announced.
