Now you can find out.  Apparently, a lot of people have been interested in what SEC Chair Jay Clayton has been up to because, according to the SEC, requests for his calendars for June and July were among the “frequently requested FOIA documents.”

On the calendars: lots of staff meetings; lots of meetings and phone calls with folks in the executive branch (e.g., Secretary of the Treasury, Acting Chief of Staff, former Secretary of Labor) and in Congress (e.g., Senate Majority Leader, Chair of House Financial Services Committee); lots of speaking engagements and press interviews; lots of meetings and phone calls with representatives of the Fed, FDIC and CFTC, SROs and regulatory boards, various committees and associations (e.g.,  the Chamber of Commerce), corporate executives and U.S. attorneys and local D.A.s, etc.  No “executive time” scheduled….
